Syria Radio Stations

Syrian radio spans the state's Radio Damascus, broadcasting in Arabic since 1947, and a private sector of music and entertainment stations like Sham FM that grew in the 2000s. Arabic is the language of the dial, with Kurdish-language broadcasting in the northeast. Levantine pop and the classical tarab tradition, including Aleppo's celebrated muwashahat heritage, anchor music programming across a landscape reshaped by years of conflict.
