Papua New Guinea is the world's most linguistically diverse nation, and radio is the only medium that can bridge its 800-plus languages. The National Broadcasting Corporation runs the Karai national service and provincial stations, broadcasting largely in Tok Pisin — the lingua franca — plus English and Hiri Motu.
