Chad Radio Stations

4 stations streaming live

Chadian radio bridges the Sahara and the Sahel in Arabic, French, Sara and dozens of local languages. The state Radiodiffusion Nationale Tchadienne broadcasts from N'Djamena, but community and religious stations — both Islamic and Christian, mirroring the country's north-south divide — do much of the everyday work of informing a scattered population. Music programming draws on sai rhythms, Central African soukous and Sahelian griot traditions carried across borders by nomadic communities.
