Angolan radio is led by state broadcaster Rádio Nacional de Angola, transmitting in Portuguese and national languages including Umbundu and Kimbundu, while the Catholic Church's Rádio Ecclesia has long been the country's most prominent independent voice. Luanda's dial pulses with homegrown genres: kizomba's slow grooves, semba's carnival swing, and kuduro's frenetic electronic energy, all exports that made Angolan music a lusophone powerhouse.
