Turkmenistan Radio Stations

Turkmenistan's broadcasting is entirely state-run, among the most restricted media environments anywhere, with radio channels carrying Turkmen-language news praising state achievements, national music and cultural programming. The dutar — the two-stringed lute central to Turkmen identity — and bagshy bardic traditions feature prominently, as state ideology promotes national heritage. Satellite dishes and internet streams are how many Turkmen actually access outside voices, including Turkmen-language services broadcast from abroad.
