Indonesia Radiosender

Radio Republik Indonesia, the state network born with the nation's independence proclamation, still broadcasts across the archipelago in Indonesian and regional languages. Urban commercial radio thrives in Jakarta, where Prambors defined youth pop culture for decades, while dangdut, the beloved homegrown dance genre, powers stations across Java. Islamic programming, Javanese and Sundanese broadcasts, and thousands of islands' worth of community radio complete the picture.
