Azerbaijan Radyo İstasyonları

Azerbaijani radio centers on the state's Azerbaijan Radio, broadcasting since 1926, and public İctimai Radio, with commercial pop stations crowding Baku's FM band. Azerbaijani dominates the air, with some Russian programming persisting. The country's mugham tradition, a UNESCO-listed improvisational art, holds a prestigious place in cultural broadcasting, while meykhana rhythmic verse and Azeri pop supply the contemporary sound of the dial.
