Lesotho Radio Stations

Radio Lesotho, broadcasting in Sesotho and English from Maseru, has been the mountain kingdom's national voice since independence, later joined by private FMs and Christian stations. Famo — the accordion-driven genre born among Basotho migrant mineworkers — is the country's defining sound, alongside commanding gospel choirs and South African pop flowing across the surrounding border. In highland villages reachable only by horse or footpath, radio is often the only daily media connection.
